Welcome to Yumule!
Hey there! I’m Paige Monroe, and I’m so glad you found your way to Yumule—your new favorite spot for discovering simple, delicious recipes that bring people together. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years cooking, experimenting, and sharing meals, it’s that food is more than just sustenance; it’s a way to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. My kitchen is my happy place, and I hope this site becomes yours, too.
From the earliest days of swapping recipes with family, to cooking competitions in my hometown, food has always been at the heart of my life. I’m honored to have had recipes featured in Home Kitchen Magazine, collaborated with brands like FreshMarket Organics, and even placed in the Top 10 at the Coastal Cooks Festival. Along this journey, I’ve also guest-judged community bake-offs, taught cooking classes, and worked with some truly inspiring home cooks.
Here’s the thing: I believe recipes should be approachable, reliable, and never intimidating. Whether you’re a kitchen newbie or seasoned pro, you’ll find honest tips, clear instructions, and plenty of encouragement here. Over the years, I’ve learned that what matters most isn’t the perfect soufflé or Instagram-worthy photo—it’s the joy of making something you’re proud of and sharing it with the people you care about.
So, pour yourself a cup of coffee and stay awhile. I’m thrilled to share this food adventure with you!

How Yumule Began
People often ask how Yumule got started. Honestly, it began in my grandmother’s kitchen on lazy Sunday afternoons, where she’d let me help stir, sprinkle, and taste. There was magic in those moments, watching simple ingredients transform into something everyone loved.
As I grew older, food became my creative outlet—a way to express myself, unwind after long days, and show love to friends and family. The moment that really sparked Yumule, though, was a potluck party where everyone asked for my cinnamon rolls recipe. The joy on their faces—and the instant bonds formed—made me realize how powerful sharing recipes could be.
What I love most about recipes is their ability to bring people together. Whether it’s a weekday breakfast, a cozy dinner, or a sweet treat, food has this magical way of making ordinary moments special. That’s why I decided to start documenting my creations: to spread that magic and help others feel confident and inspired in their own kitchens.
Why You Can Trust Me
With over 12 years of hands-on cooking experience—both at home and in professional settings—I’ve learned what works (and what doesn’t!). My background ranges from home cooking and food photography to teaching beginner chefs and working with local farms to source fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Every recipe you see here has been tested, tasted, and tweaked until it’s just right. I spend hours researching flavor pairings, exploring new techniques, and making sure each recipe is easy to follow. Quality matters to me: I’ll never post something I wouldn’t proudly serve to my own friends and family.
My process starts with inspiration (sometimes a craving, sometimes a challenge!), followed by lots of trial and error in the kitchen. I pay close attention to details—timing, texture, balance of flavors—and always look for ways to simplify steps without sacrificing taste. I’m also a stickler for beautiful, honest food photography. All the photos you see here are taken by me, using real food, real light, and zero trickery.
Outside of Yumule, you’ll find me hiking, collecting vintage cookbooks, and volunteering at the community food bank. I’m a lifelong learner—constantly reading, attending workshops, and seeking out new food adventures, all of which find their way into the recipes I share.
I believe in transparency, integrity, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed in the kitchen. That’s my promise to you.
